At their April 17th meeting, the Board heard a presentation about the elementary boundary process from Cooperative Strategies. The consultants walked the members through the process and how the community was engaged in the process. They shared the options that were presented at the March 28th community meeting as well as the feedback gathered from the meeting and the survey.

April 19, 2018, Elementary Boundary Planning Update- Board of Education Vote
At their April 17th meeting, the Board heard a presentation about the elementary boundary process from Cooperative Strategies. The consultants walked the members through the process and how the community was engaged in the process. They shared the options that were presented at the March 28th community meeting as well as the feedback gathered from the meeting and the survey.
The Board discussed the options and unanimously voted on option 3 (pictured below).
Thank you to the boundary committee members that spent many hours studying data, drafting options, reading community feedback, and attending meetings. Your hard work is truly appreciated.

City Schools of Decatur is engaging the community in the process of changing our elementary boundary lines, and your voice is essential. We have two rounds of feedback for the community to participate in.
Round 1: Review the presentation and take the survey
Go to www.dejongrichter.com/csdecatur/ to view the presentation and take the survey. The survey will be open until February 28, 2018. The boundary options in the presentation are not final options. Please provide input to help the steering committee revise the options for the second round of feedback at the community meeting.
Round 2: Come to the Community Meeting
We will host a community meeting on March 28, 2018, to share the revised boundary options. The feedback received at the meeting will help determine the options that will be presented to the Board of Education.
