City Schools of Decatur Superintendent, Dr. Maggie Fehrman, held her first Student Advisory Team meetings on Tuesday, October 19, and Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School.
Twenty-six Decatur High School students and fourteen eighth-grade students from Renfroe Middle School make up the teams to spike change in the classrooms of their schools.
Dr. Fehrman opened up the meeting with introductions and started with an icebreaker game and small prizes.
Dr. Fehrman started S2AT, Superintendent Advisory Team, to provide an opportunity for the student voice to be lifted as decisions are being made at the 8th grade through the 12th-grade level. By doing this, each meeting will help actively engage students in making CSD a school system that works for all our students.
S2AT meetings will take place at the high school/Middle School during the school day every month. See the meeting schedule below:
