Our District

City Schools of Decatur is an independent public school district created by the General Assembly through the Charter for the City of Decatur. It serves approximately 5,700 students residing within the city's four-square-mile area, providing public education for infants to Pre-K and Kindergarten through 12th grades. We have ten schools and one virtual academy: one Early Childhood Learning Center, five K-2 primary lower elementary schools, two 3rd-5th grade upper elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.
