Child Find is a requirement by the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) that the school district identifies young children with disabilities. It includes efforts both with in the school and outside the school. Parents who feel that their preschool child may need some early interventions and support may contact the school by calling the main number 404-370-4480 to schedule their child for a preschool screening.
All Child Find Screenings will be held at College Heights ECLC.

All children will be screened by specialists in the following areas:
- Speech and language
- Motor development
- Pre-academic skills
- Play and social skills
This information may lead to specific strategies in any developmental area. These interventions can be implemented by private childcare center staff and/or parents and supported by College Heights preschool special education staff. Children enrolled at CHECLC will be supported by the school’s Student Support Model process.
