Welcome to Westchester Elementary, home of the Wolves!  We are one of five K-2schools in the City Schools of Decatur school district.  Westchester re-opened in the Fall of 2014 after being the location for the Superintendent’s office for several years.  Over the past three years, our students, parents, faculty/staff, and PTA have helped to create a strong community of lifelong learners.  

Westchester Elementary is an EL Education school (www.eleducation.org) with a continued commitment to the implementation of the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards.  Through the EL Education Design Principles (i.e. Solitude and Reflection, Empathy and Caring, Diversity and Inclusion, etc.), we work to transform teaching, learning, and the culture of our school.
