Nurse Barbara Hill-Coatney, R.N.
Barbara Hill-Coatney is the school nurse at Glennwood Elementary and loves helping children and adolescents. A forty-year career in nursing this year has offered a varied number of experiences. She performed as The Health Services Coordinator of The United Methodist Children’s Home for 20 years. Mrs. Coatney has worked in the hospital setting with experiences in surgery, orthopedics, endocrinology, and pediatric, adolescent, adult psychiatry as well as a psychiatric consultant for the penal system in Atlanta at Fulton County Jail. When away from school she spends her time with her husband, children, grandchildren, cats, and her Coton de Tulear dog, Indy. Other than children, her passion is animals of all kinds, particularly dogs. She looks forward to seeing your children every day, and to help provide a safe and healthy environment for successful learning.
