Greeting Oakhurst Owls,

I am proud to be entering my 16th year with CSD. During my tenure as a CSD employee I have had the opportunity to work in several schools besides Oakhurst. I have worked at Beacon Hill and Glenwood Elementary in the capacity as a special education paraprofessional. As an employee with CSD I take pride in my work with students, teachers and administrators. My background started as a Social Worker where I spent fifteen years between Philadelphia, PA and New York City. My role as a Social Worker was providing discharge planning and direct care to children at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I later moved from Philly to NYC where I worked as a Social Worker with the Jewish Board, Visiting Nurse Services of NYC and Riker’s Islands. I enjoy people and working around people. I am a humble spirit that also values family and my spirituality. I was raised in Atlanta, GA. I have eight wonderful siblings. And a host of nieces and nephews, several of which are educators in the Gwinnett, Dekalb and Rockdale school systems. I am a product of the DeKalb County School system. I bleed the Orange and Blue, yes a proud alum of Columbia High School (CHS). I look forward to the 2024-2025 School year and motivating students in every way to excel academically.
