This is my sixth year as a classroom teacher, but my first year at F.Ave, and I am so honored and exited to be apart of this amazing school!  Prior to being at F.Ave, I was a Kindergarten teacher for three years at Oakhurst.  I love the Decatur community, and I am so grateful to work with this amazing group of children and their families.

I recieved my BA in Japanese Language and Literature from Boston University in 2010.  Prior to being a certified teacher in Georgia, I spent several summers in Minnesota teaching Japanese to high school-aged students through Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  I also lived in Japan teaching English to children ages 6m-18y before moving to Athens, GA in 2015.  I recieved my MAT in Early Childhood Education from UGA in 2017, and taught 1st grade for two years in Athens before moving to Decatur.

Aside from having a strong background in Japanese language and culture, my passions are painting, listening to music, reading scary stories, flowers, and running.
