Welcome to F.Ave! My name is Megan Weaver and I would love to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Sandy Springs, Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, followed by a master’s through American College of Education. Following graduation, I accepted a 3^rd Grade teaching position at St. Jude the Apostle Elementary School. After two years of teaching there, I decided to take an early sabbatical and move out west to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I had the time of my life, but I missed teaching. I returned to teach 1^st and 3^rd grade in Fulton County for nine years. In 2015, I got married, and my husband, John, and I live in Reynoldstown. In 2019 we welcomed our first (human) child, Liam. He has been an answered prayer to our family and more fun than we could ever have imagined. His older sister Harriet is 10 years old, and is a black lab mix. I am so excited for this opportunity teaching your child 3^rd Grade at Fifth Avenue Upper Elementary. I love how independent this age is, while also still having a huge love of learning! In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband, family, friends, and son, Liam. I also am a HUGE Georgia Bulldog fan and love cheering them on during football season, and recently Atlanta United as well! I am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
