Degrees and Certifications:

M.S. Childhood Education

Ms. Meagan Ferguson

I am originally from Detroit, MI. After graduating from the University of Michigan, I taught 9-12th grade science in Miami, FL. After 4 years there, I taught 1st grade in New Haven, CT. I then moved to Brooklyn, NY where I taught 1st, 2nd, and served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. While in NY I completed my M.S. in Childhood Education.

After taking time off to start a family, I taught 4th grade in Washington D.C. and then moved here to Atlanta where I served as the Director of Curriculum at a charter school for 4 years. I taught 5th grade at FAVE during the 18-19 and 19-20 and for the second half of the 20-21 school year. This year I am serving as FAVE's Math Support and MTSS Coordinator.

I am a Decatur resident. I have 2 children who are also CSD students. I enjoy traveling (pre-COVID), flower gardening, and Netflix-ing (when I can find the time). Now I am finding enjoyment in playing family games, especially beating my husband at Rummikub!

I look forward to partnering with you this year.
