Degrees and Certifications:
This school year marks my 18th year as an educator. I have spent most of my career working with second language learners both as a classroom teacher and as an ESOL team teacher. I spent the 2013-14 school year opening, GLOBE, which is a fantastic dual-language immersion charter school. My experiences at GLOBE provided me with the freedom and creativity to teach in a true constructivist manner. I moved to F.Ave last year after teaching 3rd grade at Westchester for 3 years.
I have an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Technology from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s Degree in Reading Language and Literacy with Endorsements in ESOL, Reading and Gifted Education from Georgia State University. I have a tremendous love for education and a passion for teaching children. I believe that all children can learn, most especially when they are provided with the freedom to explore and the confidence to try.
