Degrees and Certifications:
Juliana Quiroga Souki
My name is Juliana Quiroga Souki. I have lived in the Atlanta area since 1992, and this is my 8th year teaching Spanish, 4rd year at Fave. I was a Paraprofessional at Clairemont Elementary for 1 year, Spanish teacher at the Galloway School, and taught for 5 years at DPCC as well. I grew up in Brazil, and even though Portuguese is my first language, I was fortunate to be raised in a multicultural family with a grandfather from Spain, uncles from Panamá and Bolivia, and the heritage of my Lebanese grandfather from my dad’s side. My aunts and uncles also lived in many different countries. Living abroad was not only a normal thing for me, but also an aspiration. Before becoming a teacher, I was a Journalist/TV Producer and worked for many years broadcasting from Atlanta to Latin America with CNN, Cartoon Network, The Weather Channel, and also translating subtitles for TNT Latin America's movies. I am passionate about CSD’s vision of building the foundation for all children to be their best, achieve their dreams, and make the world a better place.
