E-SPLOST Uses and Projected Funding
E-SPLOST Uses in CSD
E-SPLOST serves as a dedicated funding source for maintaining and updating CSD's physical and technological infrastructure. It provides resources for enhancing school facilities, technology, and learning environments without using funds from the general operations budget.
E-SPLOST VII revenue would be allocated across several capital categories:
- Construction & Renovations: Building, expanding, and modernizing structures
- Infrastructure Updates: Major building repairs, including HVAC systems, roof replacements, and plumbing
- Technology & Equipment: Upgrading computers, safety equipment, and classroom furniture
- Transportation: Purchasing and maintaining school buses
- Debt Service: Principal and interest payments on past capital project bonds

Projected Funding from E-SPLOST VII
CSD's estimated total share of E-SPLOST revenue is $57 million, or $11-12 million per year over five years. Final revenue amounts will vary based on actual retail collections and enrollment shifts.
Potential projects that would be funded by E-SPLOST VII include:
- Finance the acquisition and construction of school buildings and facilities
- Refinance the outstanding Series 2010 Certificate of Participation
- Partially refund the Series 2013B (construction of central administration facility)
- Construction of ECLC and expansion of DHS
- DHS Artificial Turf Replacement
