Frank Valerio
Hola
I am Señor Valerio, and this will be my 26th year as a member of the City Schools of Decatur family. Being a Spanish teacher is more than just a career, it is my passion. I love sharing the languages and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries with children. I make every effort to create a fun, inspiring and enjoyable learning experience for each and every one of my students.
I was born into a close-knit family in Queens, New York. I moved to the Dominican Republic when I was a young child, which is where I developed my passion for Spanish culture and language. I moved back to the United States and later received my undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in New York. The highlight of my academic career was receiving my Master’s Degree with a concentration in Spanish Culture from the University of Salamanca, Spain. In my leisure time, I enjoy international travel, bicycling, and dining out with my friends. I have two toy poodles Romeo and Benjamin who are my babies. I am looking forward to a great new school year.
