Susan Albright

Hi! I am so excited to be starting my 15th year as an Oakhurst Owl! I am a Georgia native, born and raised in metro Atlanta. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and even did my student teaching at Oakhurst! I spent some time teaching English in The Netherlands in 2009 and then came back to Oakhurst to teach kindergarten, after a short stint as a paraprofessional. This will be my third year in second grade and I am so excited! Before teaching second grade, I taught kindergarten for 12 years. While teaching kindergarten, I earned my Master’s degree from Piedmont College.

I have 3 cats and a dog. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends exploring hidden dining gems. I also enjoy sewing, traveling, all things houseplants and volunteering and fostering with Lifeline Animal Project.
