Learn and Earn Program

Through partnerships with local universities, City Schools of Decatur has developed a program to provide earning opportunities for qualified college and university students.
This program will allow qualified students to work as substitutes in classrooms in our district at a rate of $175 per day for education majors. Students will also have the opportunity to work in extra support and administrative support roles throughout the district.

Enjoy working in a small district with just ten schools, nestled in the heart of a vibrant urban area. CSD has five small neighborhood k-2 schools, two 3-5 schools, one middle school, one high school, and one Early Childhood Learning Center. Program participants also have access to the following:

Qualifications to Participate

Qualifications to participate include:
-
Students must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing.

Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Students must provide one reference from a university professor and one from a university administrator.

Students must pass a criminal background check.
