I have the pleasure of serving as a first-year teacher here at Fifth Avenue and will be teaching all core subjects: Reading/ELA, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I was welcomed to City Schools of Decatur in 2020 right at the beginning of the pandemic and served as Student Teacher and Substitute Teacher at F.AVE, Talley Street and Decatur High School. After matriculating with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, I had the opportunity to work at the Georgia Institute of Technology for their K-12 Outreach Center. Additionally, I am set to graduate with my Master's degree in Educational Leadership this winter, so I am thrilled about that as well. However, after a great time at Georgia Tech, I realized that I missed the classroom and I made my way back home to F.AVE. To give a bit of background about me, I am an Atlanta native and an only child. I enjoy traveling, living my best life, playing scrabble, baking cakes, zip-lining, swimming, writing, and most importantly making a positive difference in the world.
