  • As the instructional coach at Glennwood, I wear many hats. In addition to student support, I facilitate professional development for our teachers and act as a "thought partner" for solving classroom challenges. I provide support and resources through co-teaching, co-planning, and modeling lessons. I've been privileged to support the school-level equity initiatives in our district, which are crucial to our students' future and their development as global, ethical citizens.

This is my 20th year in education and my 18th year in Decatur. Prior to becoming an instructional coach, I was a classroom teacher, EIP teacher, and MTSS coordinator at several K-2 schools in the district. I graduated with an Elementary Education degree from the University of Georgia and received my Master's degree in Multicultural Education from the University of Washington.

While not a true Atlanta native, I have lived here most of my life. I love spaghetti, cats, and dogs, but not together. I have a 12-year-old daughter who currently attends Beacon Hill Middle School and a 48-year-old husband who attends Atlanta United soccer games far too frequently.
