State and Federal Programs

  • The Office of State and Federal Programs monitors and supervises state grant programs and all federally funded programs for the City Schools of Decatur.  State and federal fund programs are designed to ensure that all students, including children impacted by poverty, home insecurity, English as a Second Language needs, and with disability status under the Individuals with Disability Act (IDEA) have a fair, equal, and meaningful opportunity to obtain a high-quality free and appropriate public education.  

     

    State and Federal Programs oversees the following: 

    • Title I, Part A

    • Title II, Part A

    • Title III, Part A, and ESOL

    • Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE)

    • Title IX, Part A – McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth

    • Other Title Grant Programs as applicable

    • Parent’s Right to Know 

    • Special Education
