New 3-5 Elementary School at Talley Street

  • City Schools of Decatur will open a new 3-5 Upper Elementary School located at Talley Street for the 2019-2020 school year.

    Community Presentation #2- December 6, 2017

City Schools of Decatur and Perkins+Will will facilitate a second community-wide meeting to review our final design concept for the new 3-5 Elementary at Talley Street. The design team has worked hard to take community input from our focus group session, multiple steering committee meetings, and our community-wide meetings. This input has driven our efforts resulting in a refined design concept that echoes our community desires and school community needs. We look forward to getting your reaction and giving you another opportunity for input on our city’s newest school design. This session will have a presentation followed input activities. We are delighted to include Parents, Teachers, Staff, Administrators, and Community Members in our continuing process.

    When: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 | 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Decatur High School – Cafeteria

We will hold community-wide presentation sessions. These meetings will offer a chance for the community to see the design as it develops and have activities for input and reaction to the design concepts. We welcome you to attend and look forward to building a great school for our CSD students and teachers.
