Library Patron Agreements

All students and parents are encouraged to use the library to check out books. More information about library after school hours will be available soon. Students will visit the library with their homeroom class at least once per week. Other visits during the week will be coordinated with the homeroom teacher as necessary.

Check-Out Expectations

• Treat books with respect.
• Read books with clean hands.
• Remember not to write or draw on the pages.
• Turn pages gently at the corners.
• Remember not to eat or drink while reading.
• Keep books safe from pets, especially dogs.
• If a book is lost or damaged, the library patron must cover the replacement cost.
• Books are checked out for one week at a time, but students may renew a title up to two times.
• Students may not check out new books if they have overdue books or have reached their patron limit.

Patron check-out limits per visit:

Kindergarten: one book

First grade: one book, but will progress to two books during the school year

Second grade: two books
