Check Out Policies:
Students may check out one book at a time for a one-week period. Parents/guardians may check out a maximum of five books at a time for a two-week period. Books may be renewed for a second check out period. Books may be checked out and returned at any time between the hours of 8:00-8:30 am and 1:00-3:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday and any time after 8:00 am Wednesday through Friday on regular school days. If you lose a library book, please tell us right away. You will have some time to look for it. If you cannot find the book, you are responsible for the replacement cost. If you find the book after you pay for it, your money will be refunded. If you damage a book, please tell us right away. If we are not able to repair an item, you are responsible for the replacement cost.
The library contract for Pre-K students can be downloaded here.
Please take care of the book you check out. Here are some suggestions:
- Protect and respect your book as if it belonged to you.
- Designate a specific place in the home, such as your student's backpack or a basket or shelf for children to keep their school library books.
- Turn pages gently at the corners.
- Do not write or draw on book covers or pages.
- Keep books in a safe place when not in use (away from babies, dogs, and other hazards).
- Do not leave books in the rain or sun.
- Read books with clean hands.
- Do not eat or drink while reading a library book.
- Set a reminder on your phone or home smart speaker to return library books every Monday morning so that your student may check out a new book.
