I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University and my Masters in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement from Mercer University. I also have an endorsement in Gifted Education. This is my 17th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade in Dekalb County for eight years, and 4th grade at FAVE for eight years. Now I am teaching 5th grade! Something fun about me is that I spent eight years working with a program running summer camps on US Military bases both internationally and in the states, which helped me spend time in and experience seventeen different countries.

It is one of my passions and priorities to help children discover more about themselves, find their voice, and encourage them to advocate for their understanding, best self, and future.
