The City of Decatur is located between downtown Atlanta and Stone Mountain, Georgia. It is an urban town of approximately 18,000 residents. Within a four square mile area, Decatur has historic homes, small community schools, parks, shops, and restaurants. We are located in the midst of three major academic institutions – Agnes Scott College, Emory University and Columbia Theological Seminary.
City Schools of Decatur is an independent public school district that operates seven schools: one early learning childhood center, three K-3 primary schools, one 4/5 academy, one middle school and one high school.
